In episode seven of Fena: Pirate Princess “The Burning Sea”, things get interesting again when blood starts spilling and bodies start piling up. While I found last week’s episode to be a bit of a disappointment, this one has certainly revitalized my interest.

In episode six of Fena: Pirate Princess, Fena finally meets Abel, the samurai crew’s true mission is revealed, and Yukimaru goes off to rescue Fena. 

In Fena: Pirate Princess episode five, the crew follow the coordinates found in the last episode to a secret temple. However, Fena is suddenly acting very strange and O’Malley and her crew are hot on their tail.

In episode four of Fena: Pirate Princess, Fena bonds with Shitan over Yukimaru, starts learning multiple forms of combat from her crewmates, has a rather disturbing and cryptic dream, and learns that the mysterious stone in her possession only houses more head-scratching mysteries when she learns who commissioned its creation.

In episode three of Fena: Pirate Princess, it’s pirates vs samurai when Fena finds a lead to the mystery of the stone while out shopping for more appropriate sea-faring attire in the free city of Bar-Baral and runs into some violent trouble immediately after.

There’s always something about pirates that sparks a deep sense of joy in many people. It’s a topic that comes loaded with preconceptions of adventure, comradery, rebellion, and treasure — an excellent fantasy to loose yourself in. As such, it’s no wonder that Fena: Pirate Princess has garnered the initial attention it’s received and as of the anime’s premiere, I think Fena has deserved its praise.
