Avatar: the Last Airbender – The Promise Part 1 Review

I saw Avatar: The Last Airbender the day it aired on television, February 21, 2005. I watched every episode. I talked about it with my friends at the time. I watched every re-run and special airing (anybody remember the pop-up trivia episodes?). I have nothing to say about this show that hasn’t already been said better and more in-depth somewhere else by someone else. This isn’t a measure of originality. This is simply me not really having anything to say on the subject.

Now, Legend of Korra….

I like that show. I really, honestly do and am not ashamed to say it. However, that show has Problems, and I’m not ready to deal with those Problems. So, as a compromise between me wanting to talk about The Last Airbender series but not actually wanting to talk about the main series in any way, I’m going to read the comics I’d promised myself I’d never read. Ironically, the first comic is The Promise. Joy.
